We are looking for current members and new members who are interested in getting involved with CPRS Regina, either as a director on our board or on a shorter-term basis to support various events and projects. Volunteers will have an opportunity to connect with other communications professionals and receive mentorship/menteeship experience as well as project management experience to help with their career trajectory.
As one of 13 member societies of CPRS National, we offer members many of benefits including community networking and mentorship. CPRS Regina Board of Directors are required to be CPRS Regina members; however, outside applicants will also be considered and are encouraged to apply.

CPRS REGINA BOARD POSITIONS
Represents the chapter on the CPRS National President's Council
Attends the CPRS National Conference as the chapter representative
Works with CPRS National on committees, task forces and other opportunities to build the chapter and the society
Works in collaboration with the other CPRS Society Presidents
Seeks opportunities to create stronger relations within the Saskatchewan communications community
Maintains current relationships with members and stakeholders
Promotes and represents teh best interest of the chapter at events
Connects with new members to welcome them to the chapter
Works on local society events and projects based on the priority needs of the chapter
Is the point person, in collaboration with the Vice-Presidentfor the chapter on matters that include finance, membership, accreditation, professional development, chapter infrastructure including ISC registration, emails, website and social media channels.
Co-signer for all CPRS Regina financial items
Ensures the business of the running of the chpater is in order, working with the Vice-President.
Represents the chapter on the CPRS National President's Council when the President is unavailable
Attends the CPRS National Conference as the chapter representative when the president is unavailable
Works with CPRS National on commitees, task forces and other opportunities to build the chapter and the society.
Works in collaboration with other CPRS Society Vice-Presidents & Presidents
Works with the President to maintain the current relatins with members and stakeholders.
Is the point person, in collaboration with the President for the chapter on the matters taht include finance, membership, accreditation, professional development, chapter infrastructure including ISC registration, emails, website and social media channels.
Part of the financial executive, co-singer for all CPRS Regina financial items.
Leads and works with the President to ensure the business of the running the chapter is in order.
Leads on all bylaw changes for CPRS Regina and works in collaboratin with the Director of Administration on these.
Director of Finance and Business Development
Maintains the finances of CPRS Regina for the fiscal year (September to August).
Is a main contact with the chapter’s book keeper, along with the President & Vice-President
Files with ISC corporation for our Inc as a non-profit
Submits year end finances to ISC and to CPRS National - email is sent to email@example.com
Maintains the financial duties around the CPRS Regina account
Build’s the chapter’s revenue strategy in collaboration with the Director of Membership, Events & Marketing. This can also include sponsorship and alternative revenue opportunities.
Cosigner of all CPRS Regina financial items
Director of Adminstration and Governance
Sets up and organizes the CPRS Regina Board meetings
Maintains the minutes for the chapter,
Works with the chapter Vice-President and the National Governance Committee to ensure CPRS Regina Bylaws are in accordance with national bylaws
Runs in conjuction with the nomination committee, the chapter board elections held in the fall
Chapter year runs from September to Augsut
Keeps the chapter records via the board google folder on minutes, bylaw and bylaw changes
Is a member of the executive team of CPRS Regina

Director of Membership
Updates members on the business of the chapter and national including pd opportunities, events, etc.
Addresses membership questions and concerns and is the consistent contact for all local members.
Maintains local society distribution list who are non-members

Helps to welcome new members to the chapter including on-boarding new members
Liaise with National on membership and the promotion of membership
Works with the Director of Administration on member orientation and development of the member orientation package.Works with the Director of Marketing on a local membership strategy including regular touchpoints with local members.

Director of Professional Development
Works closely with the Director of Events to plan, execute, and measure CPRS Regina’s Professional Development (PD) activities during the program year September to June.
Produce marketing assets and other communications deliverables required to promote PD opportunities via email, social media, and through partner organizations
Work closely with other Directors to develop and implement marketing plans for promoting CPRS Regina and CPRS National PD activities - cprs chapters basecamp collaboration centre.
Promote National CPRS PD activities and relevant content on social media channels
Perform required participant engagement and venue bookings/setup for virtual, in-person, or hybrid PD networking sessions and events
Member and board member recruitment
Director of Marketing
Works closely with Director of Events on chapter events
Manages all of the chapter social media channels - FB page/account, IG account, LinkedIn page/account, Twitter including being on the chapter channels at least once a week during the program year (Fiscal year is from September to August and Program year is September - June).
Social media design and copy for events, PD sessions using Canva
Social media content calendar for the chapter during the program year
Works with national on the social media content, sharing and collaborating with them and other chapters when possible
Manages content and updates on the chapter website.
Is the primary contact for our website host, Shawn Jenkins
Reviews analytics on social media and website
Collaborates with the local Director of Member on the promotion of membership and member benefits (local and national).
Director of Events
Works closely with the Director of Marketing on the promotion of local and national events
Works closely with the Director of Professional Develpment on assisting with PD events (technology set up such as zoom or day of the event)
Plans networking, social gatherings, chapter AGM (works with the Director of Administration and Vice-President on the AGM)
Member and board member recruitment
Shares on chapter events on the CPRS Chapters Basecamp collaboration centre.
Works with other chapters and national events when needed.
Updates the website as needed
Director of Accreditation
Liaise with CPRS National on APR Accreditation
Liaise with CPRS National on PRK Accreditation
Work with local APR candidates during their accreditation year
Work with local PRK candidates during their accreditation year
Promote the APR program to local candidates
Promote the PRK exam to local candidates and universities: including U of Regina, U of S and Sask Polytechnic
Build a strategy to promote the program locally
Recruit & answer local APR and PRK inquiries
Public Relations/Communications Student Liaison
Build relationships with PR student bodies including other student organizations such as the U of R Marketing Group, U of R Centre for CCE, PR Program, SaskPolytech, First Nations Univeristy Communications Program
Is the lead and primary contact for student volunteers with chapter events
Works in collaboration with the Director of Membership and National on student member recruitment
Works in collaboration with the Director of Professional Devleopment, Director of Marketing and Director of Events on chapter professional development and events
Develops the student recruitment strategy in collaboration with the Director of Membership, Director of Marketing and the Director of Finance and Business Development
Connects and is the chapter representative with other student chapter liasions and with CPRS National
We are always looking for volunteers who are more interested in committing their time to specific CPRS Regina events or projects, typically on a more shorter-term basis than volunteering as a board member. Many of our volunteers come up with their own ideas for projects and events. We are always looking for a new and fresh perspective!
