Lara Kuntz began her career in Public Relations (PR) shortly after completion of the Journalism program at the University of Regina (UofR) followed by the Technical Communication graduate program at Seneca College in Toronto.
Over the course of her career, Lara has earned a degree in Public Relations from the UofR, a Master of Communication Management from USC, and is currently pursuing Accreditation in Public Relations APR® from the CPRS.
As a PR professional that has worked extensively with nonprofit organizations in a variety of sectors, Lara is passionate about volunteering her time to mentorship and organizational development opportunities throughout Saskatchewan.
Michelle James, MA, APR

Past CPRS Regina President
As a Communications Consultant - Digital Strategist for the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, Michelle is responsible for the digital strategy including the website, social media and its intranet. Michelle is a National Board Member of CPRS and the Chair of the CPRS Foundation. She has been involved with the Regina chapter since 2009. While not a native of Regina, she considers it her home base.
Michelle holds a Master in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University and has earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR). Her research and professional interests include social media, social and digital identity, stakeholder relations and communications in a digital space. She also has Bachelor of Arts in English, Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts and a Certificate in Public Relations.
Dawn Brown

Dawn Brown has 15+ years of strategic marketing and communications experience. She has worked and consulted with Saskatchewan non-profit organizations and in the television and film industry for several years. Dawn specializes in strategy and organizational development and membership engagement and education. Her education includes broadcasting, production management and marketing.
Nikhil Bhattacharyya

Nik is an accounting and payroll professional with more than 20 years of working experience in different organizations including non-profit, software development, and education. Currently working at Saskatchewan Government Insurance in the finance division. He has previously worked with the Regina Open Door Society and Creative Saskatchewan and has sat on the Board of the Regina Work Preparation Center since the year 2020. Nik has joined the Canadian Public Relations Society - Regina Inc. as Director of Finance and Business Development.
Nik is a post graduate in Finance and Banking along with Accounting. Besides completed the Payroll Compliance Practitioner course from National Payroll Institute - Canada, he has an HR Certification from Saskatchewan Polytechnic. He completed the 4 Seasons of Reconciliations from the First Nations University of Canada. Nik also holds Finance and Accounting certifications from the Scottish Qualification Authority – UK named Certified Finance Specialist and Global Certified Management Accountant.
Bill Carney

Bill Carney has over 30 years experience in journalism, education and public relations. He is the author of In the In the News: The Practice of Media Relations in Canada (University of Alberta Press, third edition 2019), the standard textbook on media relations in Canada. He is Managing Editor of Fundamentals of Public Relations and Marketing Communications in Canada, the first Canadian text of its kind and an excellent reference for all communicators. He currently has a communications practice based in Regina.
Ali Dederick

Ali Dederick resides in Regina, Saskatchewan, and is beginning her public relations journey at Mount Royal University, where she is currently working online towards a bachelor of communications degree in public relations. Prior to Mount Royal University, Ali attended Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS, where she spent a year pursuing a bachelor of arts degree.
After graduating high school in 2018, Ali took a year off from being a student, and worked as an office receptionist for Canadian Western Agribition in Regina, Saskatchewan. Her experience in administration at a young age has helped Ali become an organized and ambitious individual during her time as a post-secondary student.
As a young leader in her community, Ali is passionate about gaining new experiences. She seeks to provide an enthusiastic mindset in all aspects of her professional and personal life.
Nidhi Singh

CPRS Regina Director at Large
Nidhi Singh is the Communications and Fund Development Officer for CFS Saskatoon. An educator for most part of her career, she strongly believes Education is a way of life, and must translate to greater wisdom than accumulation of knowledge. Her post-secondary education includes a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Commerce, Master of Economics, and Master of Mass Communications with Specialization in Advertising and Public Relations.
Prior to moving to Saskatoon, Nidhi, was Head of the Economics Department at a prestigious university in India. In August 2018 she moved to Saskatoon from India and has been a part of numerous community engagement programs. A Learner throughout, she still is enjoying her new phase in life and is keen to exploring life in new ways. A strong believer of a connected community, her passion for building community integration and engagement has driven her career to this date. Nidhi loves to spend time with, writes poetry when she is happy and enjoys jamming to good music.
Chika Idalah-Allison

Chika I. U. Idalah-Allison, is a graduate of Mass Communication from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. She is an Entrepreneur and the Executive Director at Dechimat Solutions Consulting.
Her professional career in Public Relations and communications started in 2008. In 2009, she was elected to serve in the executive board of NIPR Lagos state chapter as the Assistant general secretary from 2009 to 2012. She is a PRSA member of the Nebraska Chapter.
Chika is a strategic and transformational leader who have occupied various leadership positions at different times. She is a member of the Board of Directors for Lekki Adult Literacy and vocational center an NGO saddled with the responsibility of teaching adults with faulty academic foundations how to read and write. Chika is the Director of Stakeholders Affairs for LERSA and the current Vice Chairman of NIFESAF Lagos State chapter. She was the immediate past Vice chairman of LERA.

My professional journey as a Communication Specialist started from my pursuit for a Bachelor’s of Arts
in Public Relations and Advertising and a Master’s of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the
Eastern Mediterranean University Northern Cyprus. My thesis was on the “Impact of Marketing
Communication on the consumption of Personal Care Consumer Packaged Goods among Foreign
University Students.” The successful completion of my degree included an emerging Integrated
Marketing Campaign for two companies in Northern Cyprus.I worked as a Communication Specialist with Cambridge Resource International Inc. (CRI) for 3+ yearsbefore moving to Canada in 2019. Here in Canada I worked at eHealth Saskatchewan with the privacy
Department. I am currently working as a Brand Business Consultant with SGI CANADA. Prior to CRI, eHealth, and SGI CANADA; I have held administrative positions and customer service positions as well. I have an exceptional analytic skill that has enabled my success in every position I have held.
